Sarasota Memorial’s high-quality care is available in South Sarasota County. The newly expanded hospital and medical campus in Venice provides local residents with the same level of excellent medical and patient care they’ve come to expect from SMH, closer to home.

The 65-acre Laurel Road campus was designed to be flexible and expandable without impacting current operations. In future phases, SMH-Venice will have the capacity to double in size.

2026 Expansion:  Radiology

·  Two-story, 24,000 square foot addition with expanded radiology and MRI services, including an interventional radiology suite, an MRI suite, two procedure rooms, and 14 prep and recovery beds
·  Projected opening Fall 2026

2028 Expansion: Rehabilitation Pavilion

·  Level 1:  Outpatient rehabilitation therapy and administrative space

Levels 2 & 3:  Inpatient rehabilitation units with 50 private patient suites, advanced therapy gyms, mobility-training areas, and therapy tools and spaces that replicate real-life activities and environments, including an apartment, kitchen, car, and grocery store, to support recovery and independent living
