The 65-acre Laurel Road campus was designed to be flexible and expandable without impacting current operations. In future phases, SMH-Venice will have the capacity to double in size.
2026 Expansion:Â Radiology
· Two-story, 24,000 square foot addition with expanded radiology and MRI services, including an interventional radiology suite, an MRI suite, two procedure rooms, and 14 prep and recovery beds
· Projected opening Fall 2026

2028 Expansion: Rehabilitation Pavilion
· Four-story, 83,000 square feet, $82.5 million
· Level 1: Outpatient rehabilitation therapy and administrative space
· Levels 2 & 3: Inpatient rehabilitation units with 50 private patient suites, advanced therapy gyms, mobility-training areas, and therapy tools and spaces that replicate real-life activities and environments, including an apartment, kitchen, car, and grocery store, to support recovery and independent living
· Level 4: Shell space for future expansion
· Projected opening early 2028
